My personal goal is two have 12 months of income in my emergency fund, rather than the typical 3-6. The reason for this is that, well, you can never have too much money in savings, right? Especially if you put it in a high-yield savings account.

For those who have never had an emergency fund, SOMETHING is always better than nothing. You may start with a goal of just keeping $500 in the bank. Progress is progress... It all depends on where you're starting point is.

The majority of corporations do not pay income taxes because they have elected S staus. In those cases the company's income is taxed on the shareholder's individual tax return. Pubically held corporations do not make their tax returns public so it is not possible to say what taxes they paid or did not pay. There is also the issue of foreign income taxes which further complicate the matter.

Hi - very great web site you have created. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a remark to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically delightful. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a firm. I have always enjoyed working with computing machines and am trying to learn code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).
